To best serve the residents of Perry and Noble County, the Y aims to raise $4.7 million to add to the $4.2 million secured through ARPA funding to improve most major areas of the Y’s facility.
PHASE 1: $4.2 million (Fully funded by ARPA) Adds new 11,000 square foot addition to the existing building that includes spaces for all ages, including new classrooms, playgrounds, entrance and patio space. THIS HAS BEEN FUNDED!
PHASE 2: $4.7 million Renovates 7,000 square feet of existing pool and 9,400 square feet of existing locker rooms and gym space to better meet the community’s needs.
PHASE 1: $4.2 MILLION Afterschool classes and kitchen | Fully funded by ARPA Adds new 11,000 square foot addition to the existing building that includes spaces for all ages. • Provides child-focused learning environment with four new classrooms, a child-watch room and protected playgrounds • Includes space to serve daytime meals to children and coordinate community meals to address food insecurity in the county • Features new and prominent front entrance to the existing YMCA • Adds outdoor patio space • Adds six offices and one flexible meeting space
PHASE 2: $4.7 MILLION Pool and fitness areas Renovates 7,000 square feet of pool area and 9,400 square feet of locker rooms and gym space to better meet the community’s needs. • Renovates existing locker rooms to be an open, family-style changing room • Renovates the cardio and weight spaces to include a clear path of travel and separation of workout type • Renovates current weight room space to be one large fitness studio with a mezzanine level above • Adds an adult area with swim lanes to the pool • Better equips the Y to host children’s swim parties • Adds a shallow stepped-entry to the pool to accomodate families with young children
