It's Turkey Trot time!

Join us in person or virtually for a fun-filled morning of tradition, family, fitness, friendship and giving back! Perfect for adults, teenagers, and children, the Turkey Trot is a guaranteed way to get a healthy start to your Thanksgiving and do something good for your community. If you prefer to trot virtually, you're invited to walk, run or leisurely stroll 3.1 miles during a time that's convenient the week of Thanksgiving! All ages. All abilities. Everyone is welcome!

5K  Race

Through October 30th $35/person  (includes t-shirt & finisher medal)

October 31st - November 23: $40/person (includes t-shirt  but can not guarantee to receive it by race day)

Virtual  5K  Race 

Through October 30th: $35/person  (includes t-shirt)

October 31st - November 23: $40/person (includes t-shirt but can not guarantee to receive it by race day)

Virtual participants may choose to pickup their packet after November 20th from the Noble County YMCA, or choose to have them mailed for a $8 shipping fee. Mailings of Virtual packets will be sent out Nov 13, 2023, and Nov 20, 2023.

1 Mile Fun Run 

Through October 30: $25/person  (includes t-shirt)

Oct 31st - November 23: $30/person (includes t-shirt but can not guarantee to receive it by race day)

Awards for the 5K in-person race only:

Overall 1st Male & Female, and top 3 in standard Age Groups. No awards for Virtual.

What is the Virtual Turkey Trot?

If you cannot make it to the Noble County Family YMCA Turkey Trot, you can run with us wherever you may be, anytime the week of Thanksgiving (November 20-26, 2023). This is a great opportunity for you to get your t-shirt and printable race bib so you and your family can keep the tradition alive even if you can’t make it to the big event this year. Please note: only timed runners at the Noble County Family YMCA Turkey Trot will be eligible for age group awards or finisher medals.

What are the start times?
  • 1 mile Mini Gobbler Fun Run: 7:30 A.M.
  • 5K: 8:00 A.M.
Are baby strollers allowed?

Absolutely, strollers are welcome and participants with strollers MUST line up at the back of the starting corrals. 

 

Stroller & Walker Policy:  All strollers and walkers MUST line up at the back of the starting corrals

Can I dress up?

Yes, all family-friendly costumes are welcome!

Is skating or cycling allowed?

No, because they travel at a higher speed, for the safety of others, rollerblades, Heelys, roller skates, scooters and bicycles are not allowed in the Noble County Family Turkey Trot.

What if it rains or snows? Will you still have the Turkey Trot?

In general, no matter what the weather, the Turkey Trot will go on! Only severe lightning will delay the event. Our paramount concern is the safety of our participants.

What happens to the proceeds from the Noble County Family YMCA Turkey Trot?

Proceeds from the Turkey Trot go to support the Tim Hight Food Program, helping youth in our community reach their full potential by providing free access to healthy snacks and meals year-round.

Do all finishers get a medal?

All finishers of the 5K run will receive a medal. 

There will be no medals for the Virtual 5K or 1 mile fun run.
